A Bridgehampton man was arrested Wednesday and charged with stealing a vacuum cleaner at Target in Riverhead last month, according to a police report.
Brian Jenkins, 50, reportedly stole a Dyson vacuum cleaner valued at $600 on Dec. 4, Riverhead police said. Mr. Jenkins was charged with petit larceny, a misdemeanor, officials said.
He was arraigned in Riverhead Town Justice Court and is being held at the Suffolk County Correctional Facility, police said.
Mr. Jenkins was also arrested Dec. 14 on a petit larceny charge following a thief investigation at the same Target store on Route 58, according to a previous report.
